Target has been on its game with affordable shoes lately. If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen one of my recent posts with my cute lavender heels that were less that $15! I went back and found these little gems. I love that they can dress an outfit up so easily without much effort. I wore them to a job interview the other day and I felt GOOOOD.
Recently, I discovered this app called 21 Buttons where you can post and scroll through photos (like Insta) with links to shop users’ styles! If you are familiar with Like to Know It, it’s very similar to that, except ANYONE can link products. It's awesome because all you have to do is search the link(s) and publish the photos to link your own looks! I love searching through everyone else's looks and checking out the links! It's super user-friendly and has such cool features! If your style is similar to mine at all, definitely follow me and check out my photos where I will be linking what I can from my posts! I can't wait to interact with you all over there! My profile link is at the beginning of this post!
It wasn't until about 2 months ago that I actually started wearing eyeshadow. I'm a late bloomer when it comes to makeup FOR SURE. I didn't start wearing foundation until the end of my sophomore year in college, not even sure why, I just never felt the urge to buy the product and actually get ready for school tbh. So, it isn't much of a surprise that I'm barely coming onto eyeshadow haha!
Over the past few months, I had noticed several collaborations on social media with the Impress brand. These press-on nails are game-changing. I’m so happy that I discovered these!
About a week ago, I put a set of these on and they stayed on for a full 7 days! They survived showers, dishwashing, and every other daily task you can probably think of. They’re SO easy to to put on with their adhesive back. It comes with about 30 nails and each one has a size number. You just size each nail and you can write each size down for your next set! I got so many compliments on them and was even told that they look like gel! I highly recommend, especially for a really cute, quick, on-the-go manicure. Did I mention they also have some for your toes?! Mani-pedi, anyone?! 😉
Yesterday, I went on a Vegas trip with Richie for his birthday and it was my very first time going! It was 107 degrees, but we survived and it actually didn't feel too bad. We walked the strip, drove around a bit and went to a really yummy coffee shop called, which I'll write a short post on soon this week ;) I just wanted to write a quick outfit for you guys! All my pieces are linked down below if you're interested ↓↓↓
Since it was pretty hot, I knew that I wanted to wear something light and comfy. I decided to wear my black denim shorts from Target, booties from Blush & Brulee, and a cute orange graphic tank from Sugarhigh. I've been really liking all of Sugarhigh's clothing and I currently have 4 pieces from them, but definitely plan on buying more real soon! This graphic tee was only $9.99!
I wear these shorts about 4-5 times a week and I just can't go wrong with em! The Universal Thread brand at Target is SO cute and I've been going for quite a lot of their pieces. They are having an amazing sale on these shorts for $9 which, again, is even better than what I bought them for! Go buy a pair! I might even buy another pair or two...
My booties are from Blush & Brulee and they were only $15! Unfortunately they're sold out, but I found the same exact ones on another boutique's website for $20 which is still such a good deal.
Several months ago, I found @livefashionable on Instagram and I was really into the style of their accessories and jewelry. Although the company is based out of Nashville, Tennessee, ABLE produces goods in Ethiopia, Peru, and Mexico. Beautiful leather bags, jewelry, denim, apparel, and shoes... all made by women locally & globally who have overcome extraordinary circumstances... from addiction to homelessness to prostitution. The message that is behind each product is powerful and inspiring. Feel free to go to their website to read ore about the awesome things that they are doing and to shop around their gorgeous pieces.
As a huge fan of Danielle Bradbery since the beginning of her country music career on The Voice (my mom and I would watch it every single week when I was in high school), I was so excited to see that she had collaborated with ABLE to spread her message from her song Worth It. She's released several really pretty jewelry pieces and a wallet for her collection with the company. I was also able to get $10 off of my purchase when I signed up for their emails!
I really like these products and my new ring and bracelet will pretty much become a fashion staple for me this summer! They're so beautiful and such good quality. Definitely check out ABLE at the link above and follow them on Instagram :) & I would highly recommend considering buying any of Danielle Bradbery's pieces. They're ALL incredible!
Check it out using my link at the top of this post & sign up for their emails to get $10 off your first purchase!
Just a few weeks ago, my boyfriend had surprised me with an order of two Fabletics leggings. I'd seen so many ads for the brand before, and had always thought they were SO cute, but I never actually went on their site to check it out. I am happy that he decided to, because they are the best, most comfy leggings that I have ever worn! I've tried them out at the gym, chilling out at home, and even on a train ride that we took to LA (blog post on that coming soon!). He used the special 2 for $24 for new VIP members, which is the greatest deal for these leggings! If you haven't used this offer, I definitely would if I were you! They have tons of styles and designs, making it easy for everyone to find a pair that they'll like. The link is down below to get your new leggings!
For the past eight months or so, I've been really trying to take better care of my skin. This includes drinking more water, using face masks, not wearing makeup (which is really easy to do in college lol), and washing my face twice a day. For Christmas of 2015, my mom got me a Conair True Glow Sonic Skincare Solution brush, which is incredible! It massages my face wash into my skin, making me feel like a new person when I rinse my face off with cold water. In addition to all of these steps I've already mentioned, I have been using the Mary Kay Botanical Effects set for oily skin, and it's worked wonders on my skin.
I can honestly say that I've seen a difference in my skin since I've been using my Mary Kay products. In contrast to what I thought before using the botanicals set, I never used to moisturize my skin after washing my face. Which is horrible. Having oily skin, I always felt like any moisturizer I used just made my skin more oily and shiny. What I didn't know was that I was just using the wrong kinds of moisturizer. With my new moisturizer from this set from Mary Kay, my skin feels BETTER than it did before, and I can feel the difference if I forget to moisturize after washing my face.
This set also comes with a face mask, freshener spray (which is really great to use throughout the day, specifically on no makeup days), and of course the face wash. The face mask feels SO good and refreshing, and I love the texture of it. This set is honestly SO worth buying, and they have it for different skin types, not just for oily skin.
Below I'll put the link to my friend Christina's link where you can shop for your own Mary Kay products and you can even get a 15% discount off all products you buy through her. All you have to do is call her directly at 626-374-1715 when you shop at marykay.com/cwalling
Your Mary Kay products await you ;) Remember to follow me on Instagram and Twitter @serenareylin and like my Facebook Page "Serena Reylin Blog" !
If you are anything like me, you might not have the most perfect or beautiful skin. So, I thought it might be a cool and relatable post to show you how to make a face mask for your skin type, whether you have oily skin or dry skin. I personally deal with oily skin so bananas are a key ingredient for my face masks from the potassium. I've done a decent amount of research on what items are best for different skin types and I think that that is so important to know before you make a face mask that isn't even aimed at your skin issues. You can go ahead and follow along with these ingredients and steps and refrigerate the rest of the mask that you don't use. I'd use these masks 1-2 times a week. So let's get into it, and have fun!

So I just felt like sharing a hair style/routine that is my personal favorite especially for an effortlessly beautiful look to it. I have pretty thick hair and sometimes when I curl with hair with an iron, it just doesn't come out the right way and/or it kills my hair, especially being that I have it bleached on the ends. So rather than making my hair extremely dry from burning it, I use this super easy process of curling it without any heat involved by putting your hair in buns to make natural looking curls. You should either do this for maybe an evening out or be sure to go through this process before you go to bed so that your hair can stay in these four small buns for several hours before taking them out and having pretty curls for the day, or night.
First off, I brush my hair through til I get any knots or tangles out and I split my hair down the middle and separate it into two sections. Once I've done that, I get a bottle of Herbal Essences Set Me Up Mousse with a number 3 strength. I then spray a handful of it into my hand and lather it up into my hair in each side.
After I have all of my hair with some mousse, I get once section and split that section into two sections one section closer to the top of your head and then the other closer to the bottom. I make a bun with each section and secure it with a hair tie. I repeat that same process with the other section of my hair on the opposite side. In total, you should have four small buns in your hair. To be completely honest, it does look quite silly when you have your hair in four little buns, so I usually make sure that I'm not going out or no one is coming over before I start this process because, well, that would be a bit embarrassing to look like someone from Whoville ...
This is what the result should be when you wake up in the morning. I really love the way they look and I usually seem to get compliments on my hair when I do this. So I hope your curls come out beautifully for a lovely night out or just a day at school or work!
This past week I was also able to finally get my hair redone. I got an ombré done on my hair last April and I loved it. After months of having my hair trimmed and it grew more and more it was time to finally get it redone. I missed the blonde so much. A lady from my church was able to do my hair the first time so I asked her to do it again. She did such a good job to make a very natural and blended look to my hair. Check out the amazing job Sylvia did on my
