I have been in such a fall spirit these past few weeks and now that it is FINALLY starting to cool off here, it feels so much cozier. I love going out during fall & winter when it's cold and I'm able to wear a cute sweater and boots, but one thing that I really enjoy during this time is staying in and watching a good movie with some yummy snacks at the table.
Last night, Richie and I decided to take dessert into our own hands...it was pazookie time. We went to the store, grabbed a few autumnal candles (to complete the perfect night in, of course) and bought some ice cream and chocolate chip cookie dough for a couple bucks. Luckily, we were able to find the perfect cast iron skillet at home to put the dough in for our dessert. For only paying about $5 for the pazookie, not only did it save us money (I still love you BJs), it gave us a cozy night at home where we can sit on the couch in comfy clothes, with the scent of apple pumpkin, a movie night, AND the best dessert ever. In 15 minutes, our giant cookie was ready for some eatin! :) I hope this post doesn't make you drool too much...
Date night is always something to look forward to, and changing it up from going out to dinner or going to the movie theater is nice sometimes. Making your own pazookie is even BETTER!
Happy Fall, everyone! I’m so ready for all the holidays to start taking over home decor, coffee shops, and, lets be honest, Target 🤷🏻♀️ . As I’m writing this, it’s actually the about 90 degrees outside! But, hey, that’s SoCal for ya. This means ordering ICED pumpkin lattes, staying inside with the A/C on (so I can at least pretend it’s cold outside), and strolling down the Halloween section at Target just for the fun of it. Here are my favorite things to do right now to feel as ‘fall-y’ as possible...
1. I already mentioned it, but order and ICED seasonal coffee.
I don’t understand how someone can order a hot pumpkin latte or apple cider right now...unless you’re inside, of course. I tend to lean toward iced drinks anyway, but when it’s still like summer outside, I CANNOT drink a hot drink.
2. Buy some autumnal candles!
This is probably one of my favorite things ever to enjoy during October-January. There are so many different scents like cinnamon roll, fall leaves, hazelnut cream 😉, & apple pie. I recently just discovered Walmart’s candle selection, which is a GAME CHANGER, let me tell ya... I bought 4 3-wick candles for only $3 each!! If you haven’t already, go stock up on some great scented candles at Walmart!
3. Wearing booties
Booties tend to be my favorite year-round shoes to wear, but in Fall, I love them even more. They’re just so comfy, you can dress them up or down, and look cute with pretty much anything! Whether you’re pairing them with a cute light sweater and jeans, a dress, or even shorts and a cute muted color top (to really try and get those fall vibes going).
4. Take a trip to an apple farm or pumpkin patch!
I LOVE going to Oak Glen during Fall! I’ve already made my first visit of the season and that definitely helped bring those autumn feelings real quick! And you can even bring back some treats like a slice of apple pie, pumpkin bread, etc.! 🧡 The weather also drops about 10 degrees lol!
5. Have a movie night
This is such a good way to get in the fall/Halloween mindset. Particularly when it might not FEEL like it outside. I try to set one day a week to watch a movie with my roommates, boyfriend, mo, or just get in a cozy, comfy mood. The other day I also so that Target has Halloweentown High on sale for $5, so I’ll definitely picking that up soon.

I tend to go through phases of listening to podcasts faithfully, and then not opening the Podcast app for weeks, or even months. Recently I’ve actually been staying up-to-date with my favorite podcasts and I’ve been feeling motivated, inspired, and entertained by all of them. It’s such a nice way to start the afternoon off. I’ve been enjoying listening to them while cleaning. It kind of makes me feel like I have a friend chatting with me at home as I clean piles of clothes off my chair in my room haha 😊
A few podcast ‘genres’ I’m into are lifestyle, advice, marketing, Christian, and entrepreneurship. My #1 favorite podcast right now is definitely What We Said. WWS launched just a few weeks ago and I’m already hooked! I really like the hosts Jaci and Chelsey because I feel like their personalities are so relatable and genuine, which I appreciate with a good podcast. I decided to link a few of my favorite ones down below for you to take a listen!
