Although I was feeling a bit sick earlier this week, I finally managed to get out and enjoy my spring break! So today, my mom and I ventured up to the lovely Oak Glen and it was a beautiful day up there.
Our first top was an adorable restaurant by the name of Apple Annie’s in Oak Tree Village. I ordered their oatmeal and it was so delicious and they served quite a lot I didn’t even finish it all. Also, I was saving room for any possible dessert…
Right next door, we popped into a candy store I believe called Village Candy Kitchen. It has sooo many types of candies, chocolates, and ice cream. Turns out a few pieces of chocolate was only the beginning of dessert!
There was a small restaurant called Law’s Coffee Shop and Restaurant right down the street from Oak Tree Village which was pretty convenient! I ordered a vanilla cappuccino with whipped cream and it was seriously the BEST cappuccino that I have ever tasted and for less than $3. I will definitely be back for some more of all of these delicious and super cute treats in Oak Glen! And my spring break is back off to a good start! I hope you have enjoyed reading and checking out some of my Oak Glen trip and I hope you have a fabulous rest of the week!
I just decided to write this post mostly because I'm feeling really determined and inspired today. I've mentioned in one of my previous posts that I want to be a bit healthier and do some yoga, workout, etc. This morning I felt determined to fulfill this goal and I hope to make a habit of it.
I woke up this morning feeling extremely well-rested, finally! Being that I do not have any morning classes this morning, I decided to get up off my lazy bum and do something so I got my yoga mat out and fired away for a few minutes. I cannot even explain how easy basic yoga can actually be and it definitely makes a difference in how I feel after. I feel so much more energized and my body actually feels a bit stronger and flexible even if you do it for 10-15 minutes. I think this is such a great way to start off your day or if you already work out, it's a great way to end a workout session to allow your body to relax.
After some brief yoga, I got out my apple and oat jar out of the fridge that I had in the night before. It's such an easy and yummy breakfast that you can take to go since it's in a Mason Jar. It tastes really good and you can always mess with the ingredients a bit to adjust to what you like, while staying within the general category of food. I actually found this recipe from Niomi Smart's YouTube channel so I'll leave the link below.
I hope you enjoyed this short little health post and I really hope to try and maintain this type of morning because I feel so much better than I usually do at this time.
