Today I have a really simple DIY room decor project for you, if you're in need of a cute update to your room like I was. It's so easy and inexpensive, but it seriously changes and improves the dynamic of the room. I saw this done on YouTube by AshleyNichole and was instantly inspired to try it out. It looks so beautiful and I love the delicate, yet full look it gives to my room. So here's how I did it...
You will need:
>2 (depending on how big the area is that you're putting it) long flower garlands
>3 smaller bouquets of fake flowers to cut and tie to the garlands for an add/pop of color
>craft wire (preferably green so it can camouflage into the stems)
>string lights, if desired
>wire cutters or strong scissors
Step 1: fold the flower garlands in half to cut into two pieces so that you can have four lines of flowers to hang
Step 2: cut the smaller extra flowers off of the bouquets (leave some of the stem on so you can tie the wire onto something)
Step 3: figure out how you want to arrange the smaller flowers onto the four garlands so that you don't over use them on any one garland and evenly distribute them for a cute display when it's all done.
Step 4: start cutting the fishing wire into pieces of about 3 inches each to tie the smaller flowers onto each garland of flowers (this is very tedious)
Step 5: hang your Command Hooks up in your room how you want the flowers to hang
Step 6: hang your flowers up and enjoy your new cozy room :)
If you're using string lights, I just wrapped the lights around the flowers so that they're intertwined through the piece.
P.S. Yes, I do have a pizza pillow. And yes, I do have a problem.
