Helloooooo everyone! If you're reading this, I'm happy that I have at least one person reading these things :) I want to start out by saying that I hope you had an excellent and fun Christmas. I know I did as I spent my whole day with my family, eating, laughing, and eating even more.
The following day (yesterday) my mom, my sister, and I went out to go to the Santa Anita Park opening day to see the horse races. This might sound weird or a rather odd "field trip", but we've done it several years now and it never fails to entertain us, in so many ways; from taking selfies with stuffed animals, to watching kids gallop around like the horses down on the track. Yeah, we're an odd bunch... When we finally decided t leave, we went across the street to the mall to go...SHOPPING! This was a bit hectic, obviously, being the day after Christmas. After several minutes of circling the parking lot, we were able to get out and browse til he couldn't browse anymore. Seriously, we stayed til it closed. And I am so proud to announce that I will now be wearing high-waist black jeans! Gotta love end of the year sales.
It's days like this when I feel so blessed and thankful. Both the big and little things are what can make such a happy girl like myself. Because, yes, my sister and I can be straight up sassy to each other, but never have I ever allowed the day to end with me feeling any anger or bitterness toward her for anything that we said or did to upset each other. She is definitely not the only person that does this to me either, but sometimes it can just be strangers that annoy us or raise blood pressure. This is when true patience comes in and let me remind you; patience is a virtue. I have an image of myself in the future of who I want to be and patience is what I want to master by the time I get to this image of myself as it becomes a reality. Just like we all might have goals and dreams of what we want to become, I think that we should do the same with not only what we want to do, but who it is we want to be. Keeping this goal in mind can completely change your mindset for the entire day, saving a lot of time and energy that can be wasted on negative energy. So every day that I wake up, may I grow wiser, more patient, and more understanding. With this, may I gain the confidence to be who I want to be.
So enjoy the rest of your week, everyone (or you, the only poor human being reading this big chunk of nonsense)! I will also try to post another blog post VERY soon for my "weekly blessings" that I want to try and do as well as my New Years post I will be writing soon. Other than that, I will be posting as much as I can during my vacation this month. Goodbye for now!<3
