For my Intro. to Fine Arts class, we had to take a field trip to LA last week where we visited the Getty Center, Cathedral of our Lady of the Angels, and the Walt Disney Concert Hall. Let me just start out by saying this was such a fun day! I loved all three of these places and they were all so beautiful.
The Getty Center was huge with so many different art room you could walk around in and tons of super cute gift shops , coffee stands, and the most beautiful garden over Los Angeles. I also bought a really cute baseball hat from here :)
This cathedral....WOW! I was blown away by all of the tiny details, symbolism, and beauty throughout the entire tour. The architecture was insane and every piece of art had so much meaning and depth to it.
And of course, the Disney Concert Hall was awesome!! The music was literally perfect. The passion from the LA Philharmonic's conductor, Gustavo Dudamel, was so evident in every single downbeat of the performance. This was definitely an experience to remember, especially as a musician.
Overall, this day was one for the books and I have no doubt that I will revisit them all at some point again. I definitely love living in Southern California.
